NOVECENTO

When you start reading a book and you end up performing a play.

This is what happens after reading the first sentence of this unbelievable Baricco's monologue. Please be careful if you have an audience, they might start clapping at you or throwing eggs.

The length of the book is very concise and the story slips away quickly. Too fast!

You will start missing the two main characters when just halfway, but nothing can stop the reading.

The name of the lead is simply irresistible to pronounce:

Danny

Boodman

T.D.

Lemon

Novecento

(Please try as if you are performing on a stage)

Years of sailing back and forth between the Old and New Continent, on the Virginian, taught him to live and understand people just setting on his piano chair. The world moves around him and he absorbs, learning how to interpret people:

"I read into people eyes what they will see not what they have seen until now"

And life:

“I, who had not been able to get off this ship, got out of my life to save myself."

Now it's time to get the book and start the play, enjoy!
